My Poetry: A Silent Shout

Feeling all mixed up again, today, and this slipped out…

~*~ A Silent Shout ~*~

Caught in a spiral,
Churning emotions gone viral,
So many things to express,
My inability causes duress;
I want to tell you,
What’s in my heart,
But I don’t even know,
Where to start;
How do I tell you,
All I desire,
My feelings all caught up,
 In a quagmire;
I feel like,
I can’t breathe,
Suffocating in,
My emotional sheathe;
I feel immobile,
My words gone sterile,
And then...
 The tears slip out,
A silent shout.

"There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief...and unspeakable love."
~ Washington Irving

  1. Oh, Jayne! I know that didn't come from a happy place, but it's just so beautiful! I love it, sweetie. Once again, it's like you were in my head. *hugs*

  2. Thank you, Nissie sweetie! It didn't come from a happy place but my poems seldom do. I took these churning emotions and transformed it into something I hope speaks to others and let's them know they are not alone. *Hugs*
