A "Song" To Sing...
"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer,
"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer,
it sings because it has a song."
~ Lou Holtz
This photo I took (below) is a visual "song" I had to sing, about the beauty I find in nature, through this duck and the captivating ripples in the water it created as it moved. It was such a simple moment, but the ripple effect it created in my thoughts was so significant. My words don't do it justice but I hope my photo does. My photos are "songs" of things that I want to sing about, to inspire me and I hope others, too, in life.
What sings to you? Capture it in your memories, to pull out at any time you need a "song" to remind you of the magnificence all around us.
I've already told you, Jayne, but I'll say it again... I love your photos and this one is amazing! I love nature, too. Wish I could spend more time there.
ReplyDeleteAwww...Thank You so much, Nissie! Your comments means so much. You have no idea. *Hugs* xoxo
ReplyDeleteI really love this shot and was really happy I could capture the duck's face as well as the beautiful water ripples. The ducks kept moving so much and diving and showing their bums - well, what did I expect?? LOL - that it was actually quite hard to get a good picture of them. I was so happy when I got this one. It was busy scratching its neck, so I managed to capture it. ^_^
Nissie, I thought you lived right in the middle of nature? Don't you live near some woods? At least it looked like that in that beautiful moon photo I saw of yours.
ReplyDeleteBut I know what you mean. It's lovely to just have the time to sit, breathe, observe and enjoy nature
Beautiful post, Jayne!
ReplyDeleteThank you, UM!
ReplyDeleteLove your "Visual Song" Jaynie! You already know how much I love your poetry and now I find you with such a wonderful talent in photography! And how perfect to say they are your "songs" of the things you want to sing about!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful prose - lovely picture!
Thank you for sharing! ..*Hugs*
Thank you, KatLynne! Yes, that quote by Lou Holtz got me thinking, that my photos are "visual songs" of things that captivate me and that I want to sing about and share with others.
